You can delete your Summit Spend account yourself, at any time, from any of our apps. This page explains how to do it, exactly what is deleted, and what your organization keeps for its financial records.
In the Summit Spend iOS app, Android app, or web app, go to:
Settings → Profile → Delete Account
On the web, that page is at app.summitspend.com/dashboard/settings/profile.
You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone — you are signed out straight away and cannot sign back in.
Your personal profile and everything that identifies you as an individual user is deleted, and removed from our production systems within 30 days:
Summit Spend is used by businesses to keep their books. The business records you created belong to your organization, not to your personal profile, so they are retained after your account is deleted and anonymized so they are no longer linked to you:
These are retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not delete your organization or its data. If you are an administrator and want to delete the whole organization, use Settings → Data Management → Delete Organization Account in the web app instead.
If you are the only administrator of an organization that still has other members, we will not delete your account, because doing so would leave that organization with nobody able to manage it. Promote another member to administrator, or remove the remaining members, and then delete your account. The app tells you this when it applies.
If you have lost access to your account and cannot use the in-app flow, email support@summitspend.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days.
